About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct and manage all sales activities within a designated region
  • Hire, develop, and manage a high-achieving regional sales team
  • Ensure the team meets or exceeds sales quotas, MBOs, and quarterly and annual targets
  • Provide career guidance and facilitate situational skill development
  • Identify and cultivate future sales leaders
  • Maintain quarterly and annual regional business plans and provide precise monthly forecasts
  • Communicate UroLift and Barrigel value propositions to physicians
  • Qualify, train, assess, and develop accounts to adopt the UroLift System and Barrigel Rectal Spacer
  • Communicate market conditions and recommend commercial-process improvements
  • Partner with Professional Education to provide clinical and training support to physicians
  • Build and maintain relationships with key customers and KOLs
  • Partner with Area Sales Directors, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales Operations
  • Support resolution of product complaints and safety issues
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA regulations, Customer Relationship and Sunshine Act Policies
  • Establish and maintain facility credentials through systems such as RepTrax and Vendormate
  • Manage travel and expenses within the approved budget
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Area Sales Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BA in Business (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience
  • At least 10 years of previous sales management experience strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage a remote-based team effectively
  • Thorough knowledge of urology and related products preferred
  • Strong relationships with local urologists preferred
  • Operating room or therapeutic delivery experience
  • Successful track record of launching new and disruptive technologies
  • Proficiency in reimbursement for assigned region
  • Strong track record of over-delivering revenue versus sales plan
  • Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships while handling sensitive and confidential matters
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently
  • Valid driver’s license issued by the state in which the individual resides and good driving record
  • Ability to travel up to 80%; overnight travel required
