About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct and manage all sales activities within a designated region
- Hire, develop, and manage a high-achieving regional sales team
- Drive account adoption of the UroLift System and Barrigel Rectal Spacer
- Ensure the regional team meets or exceeds sales quotas, MBOs, and quarterly and annual targets
- Provide career guidance and facilitate situational skill development
- Identify and cultivate future sales leaders
- Maintain quarterly and annual regional business plans and provide precise monthly forecasts
- Communicate UroLift and Barrigel value propositions to physicians
- Qualify, train, assess, and develop accounts to adopt UroLift and Barrigel as first-line BPH therapies
- Communicate market conditions and recommend commercial process improvements
- Partner with Professional Education to provide clinical and training support to physicians
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers and KOLs
- Partner with Area Sales Directors, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales Operations
- Support resolution of product complaints and safety issues
- Support company goals, policies, procedures, GMP, FDA regulations, and compliance policies
- Manage travel and expenses within the approved budget
- Perform other duties assigned by the Area Sales Director
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA in Business (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience
- At least 10 years of previous sales management experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage a remote-based team effectively
- Thorough knowledge of the field of Urology, products, and strong relationships with local urologists preferred
- Operating room or therapeutic delivery experience
- Successful track record of launching new and disruptive technologies
- Proficiency in reimbursement for assigned region
- Strong track record of over-delivering revenue versus sales plan
- Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
- Ability to maintain good working relationships while handling sensitive and confidential matters and diverse contacts
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently
- Valid driver’s license issued by the state in which the individual resides and good driving record
- Ability to travel up to 80%; overnight travel required
- Ability to establish and maintain hospital and medical facility credentials via RepTrax, Vendormate, etc.
- Compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA regulations, Teleflex Customer Relationship and Sunshine Act Policies
