About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive overall business performance across North America by aligning commercial strategy, portfolio priorities, customer investments, and organizational capabilities
- Build a high-performing organization through talent development, succession planning, organizational transformation, and accountability
- Create strategic alignment across functions through communication, trust, shared accountability, and collaborative problem-solving
- Represent Teleflex professionally and ethically to strengthen customer experience, brand, and customer relationships
- Lead commercial strategy and effectiveness initiatives, including go-to-market execution, customer segmentation, key account programs, sales-force effectiveness, digital tools, analytics, and channel optimization
- Champion continuous improvement by identifying performance gaps, developing solutions, and leading sustained improvement
- Serve as a key member of the Surgical Leadership Team and contribute to short- and long-term business strategy
- Evolve organizational structure, capabilities, and operating models to support strategic growth
- Provide commercial leadership across Sales and Training while partnering with R&D, Regulatory, Human Resources, Finance, Operations, Clinical and Medical Affairs, and other functions
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to optimize pricing, gross margin, demand planning, commercial execution, and sales-force effectiveness
- Evaluate new technologies and M&A opportunities, including testing, validation, diligence, valuation, and strategic investment recommendations
- Build executive relationships with health systems, GPOs, distributors, professional societies, and KOLs
- Monitor competitors and market dynamics and translate insights into actionable strategies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 15 years of progressive commercial leadership experience in the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry
- Significant leadership responsibility across both Sales and Marketing functions
- Demonstrated success leading a multi-functional commercial organization with P&L accountability
- Proven track record accelerating growth through strategic marketing, commercial transformation, and successful product commercialization
- BS/BA in Business Administration or similar is required
- Ability to lead organizations through business transformation, organizational redesign, integration, or significant change initiatives
- Ability to synthesize clinical, financial, and market insights into strategic business decisions
- Experience leading and developing senior leaders across multiple commercial functions
- Ability to produce quality work output while adhering to strict deadlines at high senior executive level
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a high degree of diplomacy
- Ability to manage multiple strategic priorities and execute effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage ambiguity and drive results
- Strong analytical capabilities and ability to translate market, financial, and clinical insights into actionable business strategies
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
- Ability to influence diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to lead, influence, and align teams across a highly matrixed global organization
- Business acumen, including understanding business implications, profitability, market competition, and strategic goals
- Ability to work within approved budgets, develop cost-saving measures, and contribute to profits and revenue
