Key responsibilities & impact

Own the strategic development, administration, security, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation's Atlassian platform, primarily Jira and Confluence
Define and maintain platform architecture, business processes, integrations, automation, dashboards and reporting
Ensure secure and compliant operation of the Atlassian platform
Drive digital transformation and operational efficiency
Analyse business requirements and translate them into scalable technology solutions
Configure workflows, permissions, schemes and platform governance
Develop and maintain workflow automation, reporting, dashboards and data visualisation
Integrate Jira and Confluence with applications, databases and business systems through APIs and other integration technologies
Manage upgrades, patching, release management, performance optimisation and ongoing platform maintenance
Work with technical teams, business leaders and end users across the organisation

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrable experience designing, administering and developing enterprise-scale Jira and Confluence environments, including workflow configuration, permissions, schemes and platform governance
Proven experience analysing business requirements and translating them into scalable technology solutions
Strong experience developing and maintaining workflow automation, reporting, dashboards and data visualisation within the Atlassian ecosystem
Experience integrating Jira and Confluence with internal and external applications, databases and business systems through APIs and other integration technologies
Sound understanding of information security, access management, data governance and platform compliance
Experience supporting secure or regulated customer environments
Experience managing upgrades, patching, release management, performance optimisation and ongoing platform maintenance
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills
Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certifications or equivalent recognised Atlassian qualifications are desirable
Experience with Jira Service Management, ScriptRunner, Atlassian Forge, Atlassian Connect or other advanced Atlassian development and customisation tools is desirable
Knowledge of ITIL, Agile, DevOps or Lean methodologies is desirable
Experience in government, defence, healthcare or other regulated sectors is desirable
Experience supporting cloud-based Atlassian platforms with UK data residency requirements is desirable
Familiarity with ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus or NIST is desirable
Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, UK Security Check (SC) Clearance; this is mandatory for appointment
Compliance with ISO27001, ISO9001, ISO22301, ISO14001 and ISO20000 is essential
Must complete regular awareness training and adhere to company policies protecting company and customer information
