Key responsibilities & impact

Provide language interpretation from one language to another for individuals with language barriers to understand and communicate with each other
Handle telephone or video calls on demand and render the meaning of conversations in consecutive interpretation between speakers of English
Process information quickly and concisely, recognize sensitive cultural differences, and remain professional and courteous
Use appropriate industry terminology and understand common industry procedures and practices
Interpret calls involving simple or complex, non-technical or technical subjects in Healthcare, Government, Insurance, Finance, Utilities, Travel and Hospitality, 911 emergency services, Law Enforcement, Courts, and General Business

Requirements

What you’ll need

Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy
Ability to concentrate, stay detached from the conversation, and always remain neutral and objective
Ability to quickly establish personal credibility
Ability to follow client's instructions closely
Ability to explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with the permission or at request of the client
Ability to read and write Chinese character is a must
B2 CEFR English Level bilingual with other required languages
Able to work from home on a permanent basis
