About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to expand technical discovery and map Teleport’s capabilities to customer initiatives
  • Architect and deliver demos and proof-of-concepts showcasing Teleport’s Zero Trust, identity governance, and identity security capabilities
  • Act as a trusted advisor to engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and security leaders
  • Advise on protecting sensitive datasets and model endpoints with identity-based controls
  • Position Teleport as a solution for eliminating API keys and static tokens in machine pipelines
  • Support customers exploring AI/LLM use cases, including secure infrastructure for training and inference workloads
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering on feature gaps and market needs
  • Collaborate with Marketing on thought leadership around identity and AI security
  • Support channel and technology partners with technical enablement
  • Contribute to go-to-market activities including marketing collateral, product positioning, customer interviews, sales-cycle optimization, conferences, brand evangelism, and meetups
  • Collaborate with infrastructure engineering and security teams at technology companies
  • Guide prospects through technical evaluations and proof-of-value engagements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, DevSecOps, or a highly technical customer-facing role
  • Experience using, configuring, and debugging Linux machines and network issues
  • Strong understanding and hands-on troubleshooting experience with Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge of at least one cloud computing platform
  • Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and securing infrastructure at scale
  • Advanced understanding of identity security and modern Zero Trust security approaches
  • Ability to develop scripts and automation using Linux shell, Go, and Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, provisioning, and administration
  • Familiarity with AI/LLM infrastructure, including GPU clusters, data governance, inference workloads, and ML pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders with credibility and clarity
  • Strong presentation, demo, and white-boarding skills
  • Experience with AI technologies and infrastructure, including LLMs, MCP, vector databases, and AI tooling
  • Familiarity with traditional infrastructure networking and security, including Linux/Unix, Windows, VPNs, and bastion hosts
  • Familiarity with modern cloud-native technologies, including cloud compute, containers, and IaC
