About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own development of a fixed book of 50 named enterprise and mid-market accounts in the San Francisco metro
- Build and defend an account-specific point of view covering buying committees, priorities, entry points, and next touches
- Attend and work meetups, happy hours, conferences, partner events, and Teleport-hosted events
- Create engagement through invitations, gifting, third-party content, community connections, and local activations
- Map warm paths through customer, alumni, and employee networks and drive referral asks
- Run personalized multi-channel outbound through phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Collaborate with Field Marketing on sponsorships and Partner teams on co-marketing opportunities
- Convert in-person contacts into AE meetings, executive conversations, and technical deep dives
- Log all activity in Salesforce and Outreach
- Present monthly account reviews covering activity, results, next steps, and support needs
- Use intent, buying-committee, enrichment, AI-assisted research, and account-planning tools to prioritize work
- Work regularly in the field, typically a couple of evenings per week and more during conference weeks
Requirements
What you’ll need- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to be in the field on short notice
- 3+ years of experience building relationships and pipeline in a defined territory
- Experience working named enterprise or mid-market accounts rather than lists
- Experience in account development, field or event marketing, community or developer relations, partner development, or field sales
- Comfortable attending meetups, happy hours, conferences, partner events, and hosted events
- Self-directed and able to work without a fixed playbook
- Technically curious and able to hold credible conversations with platform, infrastructure, and security engineers
- Relationship-first approach
- Proficiency with modern GTM tooling and AI assistants
- Willingness to work toward becoming a field seller
- Must answer employment visa sponsorship question
