About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Recruit agents and sales channel partners
- Conduct cold-calling campaigns, webinars, video conferences, social media engagement, and managed prospecting campaigns
- Sell Telesystem products and services to small and mid-size business segments
- Generate new business leads and achieve or exceed monthly revenue goals
- Coordinate and participate in local agent activities with National Channel Managers
- Cultivate new businesses and business locations
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships, contracts, and businesses through proactive communication
- Act as customers’ advocate within the Telesystem organization
- Promote Telesystem products and services to new and existing customers
- Maintain accurate and timely orders, service qualifications, and sales-process paperwork
- Create customer solution quotes and cost comparisons based on discovery and existing-provider solutions
- Follow company policies, EEO guidelines, safety requirements, and drug-free workplace policies
- Interface with agents, customers, Sales Administration, Sales Implementation, Sales Engineering, Customer Service/Business Relations, Accounting, and Billing departments
- Perform miscellaneous department duties as needed
- Report directly to the Sales Manager; no direct reports
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years of previous experience with quota-based sales — Required
- Track record of successful achievement of sales goals and client satisfaction — Required
- Telecom business-to-business sales experience — Strongly Preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in General Business or Business Administration — Preferred
- Salesforce Customer Relationship Management experience — Preferred
- Background record that meets Company standards
- Reliable means of transportation at all times
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and other information
- Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards at all times
- Ability to pass mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing
- Ability to perform the listed physical demands, including walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision tasks, and use of hands and fingers
- Ability to occasionally lift the unspecified stated weight ("XX lbs.")
- Ability to work variable hours as department needs require
- Ability to comply with drug-free workplace programs and policies
