Design, write, and debug production-grade C and C++ code for microcontrollers and Embedded Linux platforms
Control microcontroller behavior and connected sensors and actuators
Integrate ROS robotics middleware to bridge high-level compute systems with low-level firmware, sensors, and actuators
Collaborate with software, hardware, and mechanical teams to define interfaces and integrate sensors and actuators
Maintain system documentation and participate in code reviews
Drive the full product development lifecycle, including safety design, edge-case handling, and root-cause failure analysis for market issues
Contribute to hardware bring-up and architecture/platform development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Advanced proficiency in C and C++ for resource-constrained and real-time environments
Experience with Python and other languages for scripting and automation
Deep proficiency with real-time applications and RTOS
Practical experience developing device drivers and resource-constrained mass-produced products
Practical experience with ROS/ROS2
Experience with CAN, UART, I2C, and SPI communication protocols
Excellent cross-team communication skills
Strong technical writing and system documentation skills
Japanese conversational skills are preferred for collaboration with other departments/teams
