About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide specialised technical support to diagnose, investigate and resolve network incidents, service requests and operational issues for Telstra's enterprise customers
  • Ensure services are restored and maintained within agreed service levels
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to restore customer services quickly
  • Investigate complex problems across private networks and Telstra-managed services
  • Deliver network changes and service requests accurately and on time
  • Collaborate with customers, service desks, vendors, and technical teams
  • Contribute to process improvements, service quality, and customer experience
  • Operate within a 24/7 shift roster
  • Support the day-to-day operation of critical customer services, including service delivery, support and network operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Some experience in networking, telecommunications, IT operations, managed services, defence, or a similar technical support environment
  • Knowledge of network operations, troubleshooting, and enterprise networking technologies such as Cisco or Fortinet
  • Familiarity with configuring and supporting network devices
  • Understanding of incident, change, and service management practices
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyse issues and identify practical solutions
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with customers and technical teams
  • Must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Negative Vetting Level 1 (NV1) Security Clearance
  • Relevant certifications or exposure to Cisco, Fortinet, wireless, F5, Juniper, or VoIP are welcome but not essential
  • Successful candidates must undergo a background check
