About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain database accuracy by adding, updating, and validating drug information for Health Canada-approved products and provincial PINs in the TELUS system
  • Use database UI entry and SQL queries to prevent claim processing errors
  • Create and maintain formularies, price files, categorization rules, and lists for pharmacy benefit management claim adjudication
  • Establish standardized business process documentation covering workflows, decision trees, and system requirements
  • Respond to complex drug pricing, plan coverage, and formulary inquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders within established SLAs
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of inquiries and responses
  • Collaborate with pharmacy operations, compliance, and system administrators to implement updates
  • Troubleshoot claim adjudication issues and optimize data quality processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience with demonstrated knowledge of claim adjudication principles, formulary management, and pharmacy benefit systems
  • 1–3 years of experience in a comparable business analyst, pharmacy operations, or drug information role
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data validation, and formula development
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to document complex business processes clearly and concisely
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing requirements
  • Working knowledge of SQL or database query tools for data retrieval and validation
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy in a regulated healthcare environment
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, with ability to communicate complex drug information in both languages
  • Post-secondary diploma or certification in pharmacy, healthcare administration, or a related field
  • Experience with TELUS Health systems or other pharmacy benefit management platforms
