About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and maintain a unified portfolio vision for Canadian and U.S. Group Benefits Administration landscapes
- Develop multi-year roadmaps balancing innovation, client commitments, modernization investments, and regulatory requirements
- Prioritize investments, standardization, and platform-fragmentation reduction
- Translate portfolio strategy into executable plans with Product Managers and Architects
- Partner with Engineering and Architecture leaders to drive scalable platform improvements
- Oversee large-scale client migrations and platform modernization initiatives
- Define readiness gates, success metrics, and governance checkpoints
- Drive product consistency while balancing short-term client needs and long-term platform health
- Serve as senior product leader for cross-functional stakeholders and communicate portfolio topics to executives
- Align product roadmaps with channel and carrier partnership opportunities and enablement needs
- Position solutions in the market through client and partner narratives
- Ensure alignment with North American regulatory, legislative, privacy, and security requirements
- Identify and manage portfolio-level risks
- Monitor and communicate portfolio health metrics
- Lead stakeholder alignment, modernization investment business cases, platform direction, roadmap reviews, and senior-leadership trade-off communications
Requirements
What you’ll need- 10+ years in Product Management, Product Portfolio Management, or Platform Leadership roles, ideally in enterprise, complex environments
- Deep expertise in Group Benefits Administration, particularly the U.S. market, legislation, and compliance landscape
- Proven track record leading multi-product portfolios at enterprise scale
- Experience overseeing modernization and large-scale migration programs, including legacy platforms, multi-tenant complexity, and change at scale
- Strong executive-level communication skills
- Proven ability to influence across matrixed organizations with distributed ownership models
- Sound judgment in prioritization and trade-off decisions
- Working knowledge of North American regulatory and compliance environments
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S. Group Benefits market requirements
- Experience supporting channel and carrier partnerships
- Experience working closely with Architecture or Technology leadership on platform strategy
- Experience defining governance models and operating frameworks across product portfolios
- Familiarity with employer, carrier, and partner ecosystems across public and private sector markets
- English knowledge required for Quebec candidates when regular interaction in English or use of English applications/software is part of the role
