About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead business development activities across the full sales cycle for TELUS Wellbeing, from initial engagement through contract closure
  • Drive new-business growth through direct sales, RFP participation, and strategic expansion within existing accounts
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across the broader TELUS Health portfolio, including EAP, virtual care, and wellbeing
  • Build and nurture relationships with stakeholders, brokers, and benefits consultants
  • Leverage indirect sales channels to expand market reach across the assigned U.S. territory
  • Articulate the value proposition and ROI of TELUS Wellbeing to HR, Total Rewards, and benefits leaders
  • Present at industry conferences, client events, and finalist presentations
  • Develop territory strategy, conduct competitive analysis, and identify market opportunities
  • Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews, assessing sales performance, strategy effectiveness, and pipeline health
  • Deliver product training, demo capabilities, and objection-handling tools to enable the broader sales force
  • Liaise between sales, product, and marketing
  • Gather client feedback and market insights to inform go-to-market decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of enterprise B2B sales or business development experience
  • Proven track record of closing complex, high-value deals
  • Demonstrated success selling to HR, benefits, or wellness buyers
  • Experience selling engagement-based, subscription, or behaviour-change-driven solutions
  • Experience in employer benefits, wellness, EAP, HR consulting, or related sectors
  • Deep understanding of broker and consultant dynamics in the benefits industry
  • Strong consultative selling and presentation skills
  • Ability to build compelling, ROI-based business cases for a preventative health solution
  • Ability to manage the full sales cycle autonomously from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong drive for growth
  • Results orientation and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and business acumen
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the assigned U.S. territory
  • Existing broker network or established book of business in the benefits, wellness, or EAP space (great-to-have)
  • Experience selling digital health, SaaS, or engagement/behaviour-change platforms (great-to-have)
  • Familiarity with corporate wellness program design, incentive structures, or population health concepts (great-to-have)
  • MBA or advanced business degree (great-to-have)
