About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own end-to-end program management across TELUS Health Data Services delivery workstreams
- Translate strategic priorities into structured, trackable execution plans
- Maintain and evolve the program roadmap with Product Management and Engineering leads
- Ensure quarterly and sprint-level plans reflect capacity, dependencies, and client delivery commitments
- Lead quarterly planning cycles and facilitate risk review sessions using structured frameworks such as ROAM
- Own the program risk log and drive accountability for risk mitigation
- Track capital expenditure and program budgets, flag variances, and support financial reporting
- Produce status communications and stakeholder updates for leadership and cross-functional audiences
- Serve as primary point of contact for external program partners including Infoway, provincial ministries, and health authorities
- Drive multi-party contract review cycles and coordinate legal, finance, and Product Management stakeholders
- Identify and develop government funding, co-investment, and interoperability partnership opportunities
- Engage provincial and national stakeholders on connected care initiatives, trust frameworks, and data sharing agreements
- Support the strategic build-out of the TELUS Health Information Exchange
- Coordinate across HDS, EMR product teams, and external health systems on architecture, scope, and go-to-market sequencing
- Facilitate alignment between Product Management, Engineering, Legal, and Sales
- Serve as the central coordination layer across engineering, Product Management, legal, finance, and business development
- Build relationships with client-side counterparts to support delivery alignment and renewal conversations
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years of progressive program or project management experience in a technology, digital health, or health IT environment
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs with competing priorities, tight timelines, and significant ambiguity
- Experience working with or within government, public health systems, or regulated health data environments
- Familiarity with funding application and contract management processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to distill complex technical and program content into executive-level communications
- Experience building relationships with external partners and internal cross-functional teams
- Experience tracking capital budgets, actuals versus variance, and monthly financial reporting
- Experience running risk management processes, including risk logs and ROAM or equivalent frameworks
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace
- Fluency in English required
- Advanced knowledge of English required for interactions with parties and English-only IT tools
- Familiarity with health data interoperability standards and ecosystem, including FHIR 4, HL7, SNOMED, provincial health information networks, and Canada Health Infoway programs
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent professional certification is a great-to-have
- Exposure to SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban is a great-to-have
- Experience coordinating across multiple sprint teams is a great-to-have
- Experience supporting or leading technology-services contract negotiations with government or health-sector clients is a great-to-have
