About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the quality and reliability of solutions by designing and executing comprehensive testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle
- Identify test scenarios and analyze functional and technical documentation
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute manual test cases, scripts, expected results, and test data
- Investigate, identify, report, track, and validate software defects through resolution
- Maintain regression test suites as new functionality is introduced
- Prioritize testing activities based on business and project priorities
- Participate in defining test strategies and test plans
- Assess the QA impact of system changes and identify regression testing requirements
- Monitor testing progress and communicate risks, issues, and timelines
- Recommend process improvements to increase testing efficiency and quality
- Ensure QA activities comply with established standards, methodologies, and best practices
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including occasional travel to client locations when required
- Collaborate with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers, Developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
- Provide training and knowledge sharing to team members and stakeholders
- Mentor and perform peer reviews for less experienced QA Analysts
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Strong experience creating and executing manual test cases and test scripts
- Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating software defects
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices
- Experience participating in test strategy and test planning
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to assess risk and prioritize testing activities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and support junior team members
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to understand end-user needs
- Ownership, accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement mindset
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives
- Experience working within Agile or Scrum environments
- Experience with enterprise applications or pension and benefits administration systems
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools
- Experience reviewing the work of junior QA Analysts and providing constructive feedback
- Previous experience training or coaching QA team members
- Willingness to travel periodically to client locations as project needs require
- U.S. citizenship
- Must reside in the United States
- Ability to obtain and maintain required U.S. government access credentials, including DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
- Ability to satisfy applicable government identity verification, fingerprinting, background investigation, and access requirements
