About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop and operate the Agent Platform for deploying, running, evaluating, governing, and improving agents and agentic workflows
Establish and operate AI Infrastructure, including LLM and MCP gateways with guardrails, fallback, usage and cost controls, and model rollout policies
Build and operate agents and workflows that carry engineering work from issue to production and business work from trigger to outcome
Own Developer Infrastructure, including Source Control and CI, and build developer tools that improve builder flow
Partner with Engineering, Product, Sales, and G&A teams to identify opportunities for AI acceleration and improved outcomes
Drive adoption of agents and agentic tooling and own best practices and enablement materials
Build measurement and feedback loops for usage, reliability, and cost to guide the roadmap
Use Temporal as customer zero and turn learnings into requirements for Temporal Cloud, SDKs, and Agent Harness
Contribute to an open-source reference architecture
Participate in on-call to support internal users

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong software engineering fundamentals
Experience shipping and operating production-quality internal platforms or developer tooling
Experience leveraging modern agentic coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code
Proficiency in Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, or Java
Experience building workflow automation or internal tools, such as CLI tools, services, GitHub automation, or cloud automation
Strong judgment about standardization versus flexibility and reliability
Comfort working cross-functionally with non-traditional developers
Ability to use data and qualitative feedback to prioritize and measure impact
Clear written communication and documentation skills
Experience building internal agents and operating an agent platform preferred
Experience building and operating Temporal applications preferred
