About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with the Clinical Account Executive on plans for gaining and retaining new and existing clients
- Collaborate with sales positions to achieve company goals and objectives
- Identify opportunities for existing customers to use Tempus algorithmic tests and add-ons
- Collaborate on upsell opportunities for various products
- Drive customer adoption of online ordering through Tempus Hub and EMR integrations
- Identify and develop partnering opportunities with prospective oncology clients
- Promote compliance with web-based molecular information tools
- Analyze the competitive landscape and assigned accounts and provide customer feedback to leadership
- Monitor sales performance against objectives
- Develop and implement a comprehensive territory business plan, including budgets, travel, territory management and goal setting
- Build and maintain relationships with physicians, office staff and pathology departments
- Drive clinical orders and ensure smooth specimen sendouts and tissue procurement
- Maintain regular touchpoints with targeted accounts
- Coordinate Medical Affairs report reviews with physicians
- Order kit and literature replenishment at accounts
- Identify and attend approved local conferences
- Obtain necessary clinical data and progress notes for Tempus-tested patients
- Represent Tempus company culture to internal and external constituents
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must live in Cincinnati or the nearby region
- B.S. in biology, life science, business or marketing
- 1+ years of applicable industry experience
- Capacity to quickly learn relevant genomic and oncology information
- Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and prioritize daily tasks while managing critical deadlines
- Ability to maintain strong market, customer, and product knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to connect with healthcare professionals
- Strong administrative skills and sophistication to manage business in complex environments
- Sales support experience in healthcare, preferably oncology or pathology, with proven past performance meeting or exceeding expectations, or general clinical experience
- Travel throughout the territory as needed
