About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Undertake tasks as directed by the Supervisor of Clinical Data Curation
- Interpret information and curate disease-specific data from patient test requisition forms and accompanying medical records
- Enter pertinent clinical details into the database
- Interpret and enter clinical information for daily incoming cases across any specialty
- Obtain clinical information from test requisition forms, attached medical records and pedigrees, or communications with ordering clinicians
- Maintain clinical data records as updated information is provided to Ambry
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology - related field or equivalent healthcare or laboratory-related work experience
- Good interpersonal/communication skills
- General knowledge of computers and navigating databases
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Interest in genetic counseling career, and/or previous lab experience a plus
- Previous experience working with medical records abstraction, data entry or data management preferred
