About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the top-down strategy for the VA, driving long-term business relationships with senior leadership and key decision-makers
- Drive clinical adoption of Tempus’ full precision medicine portfolio, including tissue treatment selection, Liquid/MRD, and hereditary cancer testing
- Lead contracting and the RFP process
- Develop and execute a territory plan to maximize market share
- Run monthly steering committee meetings with executive leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, oncologists, pathologists, and surgeons
- Partner with health system leadership to embed Tempus into formal clinical pathways via pathology or the EHR
- Identify and leverage EHR connectivity opportunities
- Coordinate Tempus sales-team counterparts and align strategy with the oncology sales team
- Provide senior management with market intelligence on trends, competition, and product needs
- Track account health metrics and KPIs across strategic accounts
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or related field
- 8–10 years of high-level sales experience in the healthcare, diagnostic, or pharmaceutical industry
- Proven track record in oncology
- Experience managing complex, long-cycle enterprise sales at the C-suite or IDN level
- Expertise in genomic technologies and the current landscape of personalized medicine
- Ability to navigate complex institutional hierarchies and influence stakeholders across various functions
- Ability to deliver high-impact presentations to executive-level audiences
- Proven ability to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced environment and pivot strategies as business needs evolve
- Team-first mentality with the ability to lead a unified strategy across multiple internal stakeholders
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the designated area or region
