About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the commercial and educational objectives of the company
  • Function as sales and commercial team support and a regional expert for Tempus oncology assays
  • Promote exchange of clinical, scientific, and technical information with regional oncology KOLs and physicians
  • Educate healthcare providers about Tempus assays and technologies through in-person or virtual presentations
  • Communicate scientific data proactively and reactively
  • Provide scientific education for internal stakeholders in collaboration with the Learning & Development team
  • Attend conferences and key meetings
  • Prepare comprehensive meeting synopses and summaries of high-impact abstracts, posters, and oral presentations
  • Update internal stakeholders on relevant medical and scientific knowledge
  • Share market intelligence proactively

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong clinical and scientific background in oncology and genomic testing
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fundamental understanding of molecular oncology and related patient management algorithms
  • Existing KOL relationships in oncology
  • Working knowledge of genomic laboratory-developed testing (LDT)
  • Familiarity with CLIA-88’, CAP, and Sunshine Act (2013)
  • Public speaking skills and ability to communicate scientific topics and concepts effectively
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong inter- and intradepartmental management skills
  • Ability to educate and train
  • Self-starter with an ownership mindset
  • Ability to work and deliver on tight timelines
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
  • Advanced scientific or medical degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MSN, BSN)
  • Basic understanding of oncology
  • 1+ years of MSL experience in diagnostics, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries preferred
