About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead complex security engineering implementations for customer identity management, authorization, and observability systems
Improve security micro-services, custom frameworks, and tooling by addressing technical gaps and implementing emerging standards
Implement internal security standards across a micro-service architecture
Partner with product teams and stakeholders on project priorities, scope, trade-offs, and delivery
Drive improvements in engineering tooling, designs, and processes
Implement new technologies and ideas across the organization
Configure and manage Auth0, Okta, Auth0-FGA, Chronicle, Terraform, and GCP
Build reusable components for consumption by engineering teams
Troubleshoot roadblocks, write documentation, and coordinate cross-team collaboration
Mentor and learn from team members across experience levels

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience working on software development teams
Experience driving implementation of holistic solutions across a complex micro-service architecture
Experience developing and securing distributed, event-based systems at scale
Experience working with cloud infrastructure providers such as Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud
Experience with Docker, Terraform, or Kubernetes
Familiarity with identity management platforms such as Auth0, Okta, Microsoft Entra, or Ping Identity
Ability to lead complex implementations across an engineering organization
Knowledge of identity standards such as OAuth, SCIM, and SAML is a bonus
Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.JS, or Python is a bonus
Experience with OAuth 2.1 emerging agentic controls is a bonus
Experience with Chronicle or other SIEMs is a bonus
Experience with authorization models including RBAC, ReBAC, ABAC, and PBAC is a bonus
