About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Hunt and close new business for assigned metropolitan cities and markets, focusing on Tenna’s Mid-Market customer profile.
  • Prospect potential new customers through outbound efforts and inbound leads.
  • Build relationships with prospective customers via phone, email, and in-person prospecting visits.
  • Attend tradeshows, industry events, conferences, and association events to identify and engage key stakeholders.
  • Create and execute tailored outreach micro-strategies for potential customers and personas.
  • Plan and track prospect touchpoint cadences and maintain accurate CRM activity and opportunity details.
  • Report to and collaborate with the assigned Manager on acquisition strategy, pipeline health, and forecasts.
  • Leverage cross-functional internal resources and the “zippered” approach to support customer evaluation and decision-making.
  • Stay current on industry trends and market shifts through associations, webinars, events, and conferences.
  • Travel to prospect, network, and sell, including onsite meetings with prospective customers when beneficial.
  • Lead in-person or virtual product demonstrations and conduct discovery into customer workflows, challenges, and buying processes.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with multiple stakeholders.
  • Draft proposals, quotes, and contracts according to Tenna procedures.
  • Create outbound email communications in CRM software and analyze results to improve outreach effectiveness.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role selling SaaS or technology solutions, preferably to construction or related industries.
  • Prior experience in a quota-carrying closing role that includes field or outside selling is strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years’ experience successfully facilitating all aspects of the sales cycle with a specific focus on initiating and cultivating relationships with prospects, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • 3+ years’ experience conducting targeted searches and queries to research, qualify, and convert qualified sales leads.
  • Experience in a quota-carrying role delivering consistent revenue growth that meets or exceeds quarterly business plans and forecasts is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or other business-related majors is preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce and HubSpot is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess excellent verbal communication skills, specifically around negotiations, public speaking, and presentations.
  • Experience travelling often as a strategic method to prospect, network, and sell - up to 60%.
  • Must be deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
