About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the acquisition of and close new business for assigned geographic territories and/or states.
- Sell to C-level executives, VPs, and field-based employees, adapting talking points and strategies by persona.
- Report to and collaborate with sales leadership and supporting sales teams to align acquisition strategies and pipeline.
- Use the “zippered” approach to sales appropriately.
- Prospect potential new customers and follow up strategically on touchpoints.
- Build relationships with prospective customers via phone, email, tradeshows, industry events, and conferences.
- Create and execute an outreach micro-strategy for each potential new customer.
- Plan and track prospect touchpoint cadences.
- Lead in-person or virtual product demonstrations.
- Draft proposals, quotes, and contracts according to company procedures.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Create outbound email communications using CRM software and analyze results.
- Deliver revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly business plans and forecasts.
- Leverage cross-functional internal resources to close new business.
- Explain Tenna’s product value clearly to prospective customers.
- Travel frequently to prospect, network, sell, and meet prospective customers onsite.
- Monitor industry trends and market shifts through associations, webinars, and events.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years’ experience selling enterprise software to construction or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in Enterprise SaaS sales.
- 7+ years’ experience facilitating all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospect relationship development, contract negotiation, and closing.
- 7+ years’ experience conducting targeted searches and queries to research, qualify, and convert sales leads.
- Experience selling to and speaking with C-level Executives, VPs, and Field-Based Employees.
- Experience in quota-carrying roles delivering consistent revenue growth that meets or exceeds quarterly business plans and forecasts is required.
- Experience travelling often as a strategic method to prospect, network, and sell, up to 70%.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or another business-related major is strongly preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce and HubSpot is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading virtual and in-person product demonstrations via WebEx, Zoom, or similar platforms.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, specifically around negotiations, public speaking, and presentations.
- Understanding of prospective customers’ needs within a complex buying organization.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
