About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own acquisition and closing of new business for assigned geographic territories and/or states
  • Sell to C-level executives, VPs, and field-based employees, adapting strategies to each persona
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and supporting sales teams on acquisition strategies and pipeline
  • Apply the “zippered” approach to sales
  • Prospect potential new customers and strategically follow up on touchpoints
  • Build relationships through phone, email, tradeshows, industry events, and conferences
  • Create and execute outreach micro-strategies for prospects
  • Plan and track prospect touchpoint cadences
  • Lead in-person and virtual product demonstrations
  • Draft proposals, quotes, and contracts
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals
  • Create outbound email communications using CRM software and analyze results
  • Deliver revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly business plans and forecasts
  • Leverage cross-functional internal resources to close business
  • Understand and articulate Tenna’s product value to prospective customers
  • Travel frequently for prospecting, networking, selling, and onsite customer meetings
  • Monitor industry trends and market shifts through associations, webinars, and events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years’ experience selling enterprise software to construction or related industries
  • Demonstrated success in Enterprise SaaS sales
  • 7+ years’ experience facilitating all aspects of the sales cycle, with focus on prospect relationships, contract negotiation, and closing
  • 7+ years’ experience conducting targeted searches and queries to research, qualify, and convert sales leads
  • Strong experience selling to and speaking with C-level Executives, VPs, and Field-Based Employees
  • Experience in quota-carrying roles delivering consistent revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly business plans and forecasts
  • Strong experience travelling up to 70% as a strategic method to prospect, network, and sell
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or another business-related major is strongly preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce and HubSpot is strongly preferred
  • Experience leading virtual and in-person product demonstrations via WebEx, Zoom, etc.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly in negotiations, public speaking, and presentations
  • Understanding of prospective customers’ needs within a complex buying organization
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented
