About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own acquisition and closing of new business for assigned geographic territories and/or states.
- Sell to C-level executives, VPs, and field-based employees, adapting strategies by persona.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and supporting sales teams on acquisition strategies and pipeline.
- Use the “zippered” sales approach appropriately.
- Prospect new customers and strategically follow up on prospect touchpoints.
- Build prospective customer relationships via phone, email, tradeshows, industry events, and conferences.
- Create and execute an outreach micro-strategy for each prospective customer.
- Plan and track prospect touchpoint cadence.
- Lead in-person and virtual product demonstrations.
- Draft proposals, quotes, and contracts.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals.
- Create outbound email communications in CRM software and analyze results.
- Deliver revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly plans and forecasts.
- Leverage cross-functional internal resources to close business.
- Apply strategic selling and Tenna’s sales strategy.
- Articulate Tenna’s product value to prospective customers.
- Travel to prospect, network, sell, and meet prospective customers onsite.
- Monitor industry trends and market shifts through associations, webinars, and events.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years’ experience selling enterprise software to construction or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in Enterprise SaaS sales.
- 7+ years’ experience facilitating all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospect relationship development, contract negotiation, and closing.
- 7+ years’ experience conducting targeted searches and queries to research, qualify, and convert sales leads.
- Experience selling to and speaking with C-level Executives, VPs, and Field-Based Employees.
- Experience in quota-carrying roles delivering consistent revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly business plans and forecasts is required.
- Experience traveling often to prospect, network, and sell, up to 70%.
- Experience using Salesforce and HubSpot is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading virtual and in-person product demonstrations via WebEx, Zoom, etc.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, specifically in negotiations, public speaking, and presentations.
- Understanding of prospective customers’ needs within a complex buying organization.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or another business-related major is strongly preferred.
