About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own acquisition and closing of new business for assigned geographic territories and/or states.
- Sell to C-level executives, VPs, and field-based employees, adapting talking points and strategies by persona.
- Report to and collaborate with sales leadership and supporting sales teams on acquisition strategies and pipeline.
- Use the “zippered” sales approach appropriately.
- Prospect aggressively and follow up strategically on prospect touchpoints.
- Build prospective customer relationships via phone, email, tradeshows, industry events, and conferences.
- Create and execute an outreach micro-strategy for each potential customer.
- Plan and track prospect touchpoint cadences.
- Lead in-person and virtual product demonstrations.
- Draft proposals, quotes, and contracts according to Tenna procedures.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals using prospect-specific micro-strategies.
- Create outbound email communications using CRM software and analyze results.
- Deliver revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly plans and forecasts.
- Leverage cross-functional internal resources to close new business.
- Apply Tenna’s strategic selling approach.
- Articulate product value clearly to prospective customers.
- Travel frequently for prospecting, networking, selling, and onsite customer meetings.
- Monitor industry trends and market shifts through associations, webinars, and events.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years’ experience selling enterprise software to construction or related industries.
- Demonstrated success in Enterprise SaaS sales.
- 7+ years’ experience facilitating all aspects of the sales cycle, with focus on prospect relationships, contract negotiation, and closing.
- 7+ years’ experience conducting targeted searches and queries to research, qualify, and convert sales leads.
- Strong experience selling to and speaking with C-level Executives, VPs, and Field-Based Employees.
- Strong experience in quota-carrying roles delivering consistent revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly business plans and forecasts.
- Strong experience traveling up to 70% to prospect, network, and sell.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or another business-related major is strongly preferred.
- Experience using Salesforce and HubSpot is strongly preferred.
- Experience leading virtual and in-person product demonstrations via WebEx, Zoom, or similar platforms.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly in negotiations, public speaking, and presentations.
- Understanding of prospective customers’ needs within a complex buying organization.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
