About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own acquisition of and close new business for assigned geographic territories and/or states.
  • Sell to C-level executives, VPs, and field-based employees, adapting strategies to each persona.
  • Report to and collaborate with sales leadership and supporting sales teams on acquisition strategies and pipeline.
  • Use the “zippered” sales approach appropriately.
  • Prospect aggressively and follow up strategically with potential new customers.
  • Build prospective customer relationships through phone, email, tradeshows, industry events, and conferences.
  • Create and execute an outreach micro-strategy for each potential customer.
  • Plan and track prospect touchpoint cadence.
  • Lead in-person and virtual product demonstrations.
  • Draft proposals, quotes, and contracts according to company procedures.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals.
  • Create outbound email communications in CRM software and analyze results.
  • Deliver revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly plans and forecasts.
  • Leverage cross-functional internal resources to close business.
  • Communicate Tenna’s product value clearly to prospects.
  • Travel frequently to prospect, network, sell, and meet prospective customers onsite.
  • Monitor industry trends and market shifts through associations, webinars, and events.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must live in Indiana or be willing to relocate to Indiana.
  • 3+ years’ experience selling enterprise software to construction or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in Enterprise SaaS sales.
  • 7+ years’ experience facilitating all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospect relationship development, contract negotiation, and closing.
  • 7+ years’ experience conducting targeted searches and queries to research, qualify, and convert qualified sales leads.
  • Strong experience selling to and speaking with C-level Executives, VPs, and Field-Based Employees.
  • Strong experience in quota-carrying roles delivering consistent revenue growth meeting or exceeding quarterly business plans and forecasts.
  • Strong experience traveling frequently to prospect, network, and sell, up to 70%.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or another business-related major is strongly preferred.
  • Experience using Salesforce and HubSpot is strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading virtual and in-person product demonstrations via WebEx, Zoom, or similar tools.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly in negotiations, public speaking, and presentations.
  • Understanding of prospective customers’ needs within a complex buying organization.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
