About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the territory plan, including segmentation, call cadence, routing, and coverage across independent OD/MD practices, multi-location groups, and relevant accounts
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and manage the funnel, forecasts, and activity metrics using disciplined CRM practices
  • Lead compliant in-office data reviews, trainings, and lunch-and-learns for eyecare professionals
  • Educate practices on patient selection, expected outcomes, safety, onset/duration, and practice workflow
  • Translate clinical evidence into practical screening prompts, exam-lane cues, and intake questions
  • Equip practice staff with tools that convert interest into consistent product use
  • Capture field insights to refine messaging and resources
  • Position and drive adoption of an out-of-pocket therapy
  • Set clear expectations for value, usage, and follow-up
  • Utilize starter resources and patient materials compliantly
  • Document customer feedback and share insights with appropriate internal partners
  • Execute brand strategy and digital tools
  • Support regional and national meetings and POAs
  • Share repeatable best practices
  • Adhere to compliance requirements, including adverse event reporting and HCP interaction standards
  • Build relationships with Optometrists and Ophthalmologists and convert initial prescriptions into durable growth
  • Report to the Area Sales Director

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of a documented track record of success in sales required
  • Pharmaceutical, medical, or closely related sales experience is a plus
  • Eye-care or contact lens sales preferred
  • Pharma launch experience preferred
  • Start-up experience is a plus
  • Comfort with selling cash-pay/elective therapies and discussing affordability with practices and patients
  • Currently have and maintain an unexpired driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record
  • Entrepreneurial, self-motivated, proactive, and able to thrive in launch environments
  • Fast technical learner; coachable and adaptable
  • Evidence-driven, solution-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and decisive under pressure
  • Accountable with integrity and transparency
  • Ability to analyze data to segment/prioritize accounts and build practical territory plans
  • Clear, compliant, and persuasive communication and selling skills
  • Ability to tailor clinical detail and lead Optometrist-focused, data-anchored discussions
  • Customer-focused approach aligned to patient selection, expected outcomes/safety, and practice workflow
  • Disciplined CRM habits and consistent results delivery
  • Resilience and ability to sustain momentum in challenging markets
  • Ability to travel to client sites and navigate office buildings, parking lots, outdoor settings, and transit centers
  • Ability to operate a computer and communicate effectively in a remote work environment
  • Ability to sit for extended periods and use standard office equipment
  • Ability to lift and transport materials up to 25 pounds occasionally
