About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Visit various customer sites each day to provide plant care
- Groom, rotate, water, prune, trim, and remove debris from planters
- Gauge soil moisture with a soil probe and fertilize as needed
- Prevent water or moisture damage to floors, walls, carpet, furniture, and surrounding areas
- Apply appropriate amounts of water based on lighting conditions and plant requirements
- Keep plants and display containers clean and free of dust and debris
- Keep plants free from diseases and insects
- Maintain the appearance of top dressing and other ornamental elements
- Recognize and communicate additional Ambius product needs
- Assist with interior and exterior plantscape installations, including container gardens and wall-mounted systems
- Assist with holiday decoration installations and seasonal removals
- Maintain scenting and air purification equipment
- Drive a service van/truck in urban and rural settings
- Communicate effectively and resolve problems
- Safely operate ladders and use pruners, scissors, and other sharp tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience caring for plants is preferred
- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions for mixing products according to product labels
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Ability to safely climb and work on ladders
- Experience using pruners, scissors, and other sharp objects
- Ability to regularly drive a service van/truck in urban and rural settings
