About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
Eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards and regulations
Educate customers on pest prevention and reducing future infestation risks
Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
Maintain, stock, and inspect pest control equipment
Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
Communicate with clients about pest control solutions
Perform work in commercial properties, including confined spaces and varied indoor/outdoor conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
Ability to present information in internal and external settings
Basic math skills, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to follow instructions for mixing products according to labels
Clean-shaven face for respirator safety
Ability to work in confined spaces, around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Ability to wear OSHA-compliant personal protective equipment, including a respirator
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the employer)
