About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform industry-leading pest management services for commercial customers
- Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
- Determine the type of pest infestation
- Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps
- Provide preventative measures and educate customers on pest prevention
- Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
- Help with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
- Maintain, stock, and ensure the good working condition of pest control equipment
- Adhere to local, state, and federal pest control and safety regulations
- Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
- Communicate with clients about pest control solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present information in internal and external settings
- Basic math skills, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to follow instructions for mixing products according to product labels
- Clean-shaven face required for respirator seal safety
- Ability to work in tight, confined spaces
- Ability to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
- Ability to perform physical activities including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Customer-facing experience preferred
