About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct inspections to identify pest activity
- Perform pest control services for residential and commercial clients
- Install and maintain termite control systems
- Install Thermal Acoustical Pest Control (TAP) insulation
- Prepare and clean up job sites
- Assist with light construction projects, minor repairs, and replacements related to pest damage
- Explain services to customers, ensure satisfaction, and provide pest-control guidance
- Perform exclusion services and wildlife removal
- Set up and build exclusion traps
- Cut flashing and form hardware cloth to specifications
- Remove animals trapped in exclusion devices
- Work from rooftops in a safety harness as needed
- Complete production forms documenting services provided
- Participate in training and stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulations
- Safely handle mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Possess a valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Available to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to present information in internal and external settings
- Basic math skills, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to follow product-label instructions for mixing
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Ability to work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
- Ability to move up to 50 pounds by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects
- Ability to maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces
- Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate and company-provided weather
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and maintain clean vehicles and equipment
- Clean-shaven face required for rebreather safety
- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Construction background, handyman skills, and experience working at heights highly encouraged
