About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage financial reporting and compliance functions for North America accounting results
  • Establish and implement accounting policies and standards
  • Ensure accurate month-end reporting to Group for consolidation
  • Manage the financial reporting process, including Monthly Management Reporting
  • Partner with FP&A and accounting leadership to report North America results accurately
  • Consolidate commentary and complete monthly detailed flux analysis for executive reporting
  • Complete monthly statements of cash flows according to accounting standards
  • Partner with M&A on acquisitions, including valuation of acquired assets and assumed liabilities
  • Meet with Internal Audit regarding operational and SOX audits, remediation plans, deficiencies, and control improvements
  • Collaborate with FP&A on forecasts and analysis
  • Implement automated solutions to streamline and standardize accounting reporting
  • Assist with annual audits and liaise with external auditors
  • Partner with Tax to ensure timely reporting and control execution
  • Develop and coach staff members
  • Manage assigned controls and ensure compliance with company policy using a risk-based approach
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations and prepare fluctuation analysis for executive management
  • Ensure security and integrity of financial information
  • Evaluate processes and procedures, identify improvement opportunities, and advocate for change
  • Collaborate across departments with Global and North American ELT members
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience in progressive financial/accounting roles within moderately to complex corporate structures
  • M&A reporting experience preferred
  • Experience working with a large team and oversight of team members
  • Experience with a multi-unit organization
  • Proven ability to develop strong working relationships with leaders and partner on financial decisions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and set priorities and objectives
  • Ability to focus on priorities, identify next steps, meet deadlines, and achieve results
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field or equivalent relevant experience required
  • Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • Must comply with drug-free workplace requirements
