About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers
- Inspect properties to identify pest infestations, damage, and entry points
- Determine pest types and apply approved chemicals, baits, and traps
- Provide preventative measures and educate customers on pest prevention
- Build customer relationships and schedule and confirm appointments
- Assist with sales to current customers and expand products to new customers
- Maintain, stock, and ensure proper working condition of pest control equipment
- Comply with local, state, and federal pest-control and safety regulations
- Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle
- Work in varied indoor and outdoor environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the employer)
- Available to work Monday-Friday and weekends as needed
- Clean-shaven face for respirator safety
- Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all areas of pest control
- Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills sufficient to follow product-label mixing instructions
- Customer-facing experience preferred
- Ability to work inside and outside in the local climate
- Ability to work in confined spaces and around animals, insects, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
