About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify customers’ termite problems and determine remedial steps based on termite behaviors and habits
- Perform termite treatment services safely according to company guidelines and standard practices
- Apply anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedules, safety procedures, and label instructions
- Communicate termite-conducive conditions, procedures, and structural modifications to customers
- Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
- Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
- Complete production forms documenting services provided
- Interact with customers and explain services provided
- Prepare job sites for treatment
- Work in customer residences, properties, and places of business, often unsupervised
- Safely handle regulated chemicals and company equipment
- Work with colleagues, vendors, and customers to resolve conflicts and disputes
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license from state of residence
- At least 1 year of customer service experience
- Termite control experience is a plus
- Clean-shaven face required for respirator safety
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Flexibility to work Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
- Basic math skills, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to follow product-label mixing instructions
- Ability to tolerate seasonal weather, damp and dusty locations
- Ability to work on roofs and high areas, including 20 feet up on a ladder
- Ability to work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, and passageways
- Ability to wear required PPE, including an OSHA-compliant respirator
- Ability to enter and exit structures and crawl spaces, climb structures, stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
- Ability to regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move up and down stairs and ladders
- Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
- Must safely operate a vehicle on public streets
- Must be able to resolve conflicts and disputes in a non-violent and non-disruptive manner
