About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Takes a long-term view of the IT portfolio for a given business area and engages business management and executives to maximize benefits at sustainable cost
  • Leads teams delivering value through in-house, externally developed, or third-party software solutions
  • Serves as the primary IT contact for business initiatives requiring technology resources or systems
  • Develops roadmaps for applications and systems and obtains business and IT stakeholder buy-in
  • Shares roadmaps with business, product teams, IT leadership, and other stakeholders
  • Participates in business meetings, committees, and innovation sessions
  • Interacts with software application end users, business management, and executives
  • Coordinates product-team resources in response to business work requests
  • Manages product-team work through task assignments, project management, Agile methods, or other approaches
  • Commits to and delivers work products within scope and deadlines
  • Learns new skills and technologies to support business needs
  • Coordinates with training and communications specialists
  • Identifies product-team skill gaps and works with IT management to address them
  • Evaluates, selects, and works with consultants and vendors
  • Follows and improves IT standards and processes for design, documentation, coding, testing, and implementation
  • Follows safety rules and participates in pre-task planning
  • Performs other duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and eight to ten years' relevant experience, or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of twelve years' relevant experience
  • Five years of applicable business or system development experience
  • Two years of team lead or management experience
  • A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required
