About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Take a long-term view of the IT portfolio for a given business area and engage business management and executives to refine it
- Lead teams delivering value through in-house, external, or third-party software solutions
- Serve as the primary IT contact for a particular business area
- Develop application and system roadmaps and obtain stakeholder buy-in
- Share roadmaps with business, product, and IT leadership
- Participate in business meetings, committees, and innovation sessions
- Interact with software application end users
- Coordinate product team resources and manage work through assignments, project management, or Agile methods
- Commit to delivering work products within scope and deadlines
- Learn new skills and technologies to support the IT portfolio
- Coordinate with training and communications specialties
- Identify and address product team skills gaps
- Evaluate, select, and work with consultants and vendors
- Follow and improve IT standards and processes for design, documentation, coding, testing, and implementation
- Follow safety rules and report safety concerns
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and eight to ten years' relevant experience, or a minimum of twelve years' relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- Five years of applicable business or system development experience
- Two years of team lead or management experience
- A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required
