About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage all aspects of large-scale and complex facilities, materials, environmental, or geotechnical engineering projects
  • Define project scope, schedule, and budget with clients or NAM
  • Lead interactions with clients and stakeholders
  • Design, communicate, and implement project plans
  • Lead safety efforts and ensure compliance with approved safety plans
  • Resolve operational problems and minimize delays
  • Identify, develop, and gather resources needed to complete projects
  • Prepare designs and work specifications; develop schedules, budgets, and forecasts; select materials, equipment, project staff, and contractors
  • Estimate costs, resources, and time required
  • Monitor activities, allocate resources, and assign tasks to meet targets
  • Partner with departments or offices to secure specialized project resources
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports
  • Coach and mentor project staff
  • Coordinate with APR for project oversight and quality reviews
  • Coordinate with accounting for financial management, invoicing, and collections
  • Identify project-related risks and follow company risk policies
  • Promote safe work environments and pre-task planning
  • Monitor and improve project quality standards and practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline practiced by the Firm, including Engineering, Environmental Science, or Geology, and a minimum of 10 years’ related experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 14 years’ related experience
  • A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the type of services and projects being managed (preferred)
  • Authorized Project Reviewer status (preferred)
