About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run LATAM hiring end to end in Lever, including reviewing inbound applications, sending pre-screens, grading replies, scheduling interviews, and responding to candidates within 48 hours
- Source candidates through LinkedIn, referrals, former marketplace and social-commerce seller-acquisition teams, and university pipelines in Mexico City
- Onboard every LATAM hire, including contractor agreements, equipment, tool access, HRIS records, first-week plans, and bootcamp enrollment
- Administer contractors across Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Colombia, including agreement templates, invoicing cadence, Finance payment inputs, and local compliance basics
- Manage the Mexico City base, including workspace, in-person rituals, events, travel, and headquarters visitors
- Establish the performance rhythm, including monthly HRIS reviews, 1:1 cadence, and timely exits
- Prepare compensation benchmarks and offer packages for LATAM roles
- Report headcount, hiring funnel, time-to-hire, time-to-productive, and cost per hire weekly to management
- Create reusable playbooks for hiring, onboarding, contractor administration, and offboarding
- Serve as the local point of contact for the LATAM team and bridge to headquarters in Tel Aviv
- Use AI to screen applicants, draft pre-screen emails, summarize and grade replies, draft contracts and offers, build onboarding automations, maintain hiring-funnel data, and answer administrative questions
- Hire, onboard, and make the Mexico City sales team productive
- Build the LATAM hiring dashboard and complete the LATAM HRIS
- Make headquarters stop being the bottleneck for LATAM
Requirements
What you’ll need- Deep experience in at least one of Terrific’s three commercial pillars — eCommerce, Marketing, or Media — and enough fluency across the other two to contribute credibly from day 1
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Based in Latin America; Mexico City strongly preferred
- Available for a full-time, exclusive independent-contractor engagement
- Professional fluency in English
- Native or professional fluency in Spanish
- At least three years in people operations, HR or operations, including hands-on recruiting
- Experience in a startup or scale-up
- Hands-on recruiting experience: screening, scheduling, pipeline management, and offers
- Experience with contractor or employment administration in Mexico; Argentina, Brazil or Colombia experience is a plus
- Comfortable with headcount, funnel, costs, and compensation numbers
- Fluent with Google Workspace, an HRIS, an ATS, spreadsheets, and AI tools
- Based in Mexico City, or able to be there several days a week
- Able to work with an international team across time zones
- Portuguese is a plus
- Experience supporting a sales team, or working in a company that sells to brands, retailers or media, is a strong advantage
- This is not compatible with concurrent full-time employment with another company
