About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead global downstream marketing and commercialization for Terumo BCT’s portfolio
- Enable regional commercial teams to launch, position, and grow solutions worldwide
- Develop differentiated positioning, value propositions, messaging, and customer engagement strategies
- Strengthen portfolio awareness and recognition with Marketing Communications
- Drive launch excellence, knowledge transfer, market readiness, penetration, and adoption
- Lead Global Scientific Marketing to increase awareness and global portfolio adoption
- Develop pricing guidance and value-based pricing strategies
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify growth, adoption, and value optimization opportunities
- Support portfolio optimization, including country exclusion and other commercial interventions
- Serve as the primary global interface with regional commercial organizations
- Capture and synthesize customer, regional market, competitive, and trend insights for Strategic Marketing and PLM
- Represent regional commercial perspectives in New Opportunity Assessment teams and Project Charter development
- Partner with Strategic Marketing, PLM, Commercial Excellence, Regional Marketing, Sales Leadership, and other functions
- Share best practices and scale successful approaches across markets
- Build, coach, and mentor a high-performing global commercialization team
- Strengthen capabilities in positioning, pricing, sales enablement, launch excellence, and customer engagement
- Elevate commercialization capability across the broader Commercial organization through frameworks, tools, training, and best-practice sharing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 15 years of experience in downstream marketing, commercialization, or regional marketing roles
- Regional marketing or on-site commercial experience required
- Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred
- Demonstrated success enabling sales organizations and driving adoption of complex solutions globally
- Strong pricing, positioning, and sales enablement experience
- Proven ability to lead global teams and partner across highly matrixed organizations
- Ability to understand customer journeys, selling environments, regional needs, cultural differences, market dynamics, and commercial pathways
- Ability to travel globally approximately 30%
- Must successfully complete pre-employment substance abuse testing and detailed background verification
