About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Sell and promote Terumo Interventional Systems products to interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons and purchasing/materials management
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue targets
- Develop and implement sales strategies and techniques
- Conduct sales and product presentations
- Educate customers on proper and effective product use
- Maintain comprehensive clinical and technical knowledge of Terumo and competitive products
- Attend, support and provide in-service during endovascular procedures
- Maintain and grow existing business and develop new business opportunities
- Identify and respond to competitive threats
- Communicate market intelligence and competitor activity to the Region Manager
- Develop and maintain customer relationships through visits and telephone contact
- Conduct customer in-services
- Collaborate with Customer Administration, Logistics, Marketing and Technical Support
- File weekly, monthly and competitive product reports
- Attend trade shows and conventions
- Maintain compliance with TMC quality systems, FDA regulations, international guidelines, AdvaMed guidelines and Terumo policies
- Recognize and forward customer complaints to Quality Assurance
- Ensure promotional messaging and materials are clinically accurate
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Medical Device Sales
- Cath Lab and/or Operating Room sales experience preferred
- Equivalent combination of education, training and experience, including a minimum of 11 years’ Medical Device Sales experience
- Proven record of sales excellence
- Endovascular and/or operating room experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Personal automobile with an active vehicle insurance policy
- Strong presentation, analytical and customer service skills
- Solutions-oriented sales approach
- Ability to understand complex medical procedures and engage in in-depth technical conversations
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, specifically the vascular and venous systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and iPad navigation
- Ability to drive personal automobile daily and long distances
- Ability to gain access to and work in IR suites, Cath labs and operating rooms
- Ability to wear appropriate gowning, stand for long periods, comply with hospital protocols and be aware of potential biohazards
- Ability to meet facility vendor credentialing requirements, including training, background checks and proof of immunization
