About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell and promote Terumo Interventional Systems products to interventional radiologists, interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons and purchasing/materials management
  • Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly and annual sales revenue targets
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and techniques
  • Conduct sales and product presentations and educate customers on effective product use
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical and technical knowledge of Terumo and competitive products
  • Attend, support and provide in-service during endovascular procedures
  • Maintain and grow existing business and develop new business opportunities
  • Identify and respond to competitive threats and communicate market intelligence to the Region Manager
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships through visits and telephone contact
  • Conduct customer in-services on proper product use
  • Collaborate with Customer Administration, Logistics, Marketing and Technical Support
  • File weekly, monthly and competitive product reports
  • Attend trade shows and conventions
  • Maintain compliance with quality systems, FDA regulations, international guidelines, AdvaMed guidelines and Terumo policies
  • Forward customer complaints and adverse events to Quality Assurance
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years' experience in Medical Device Sales with Cath Lab and/or Operating Room sales experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience, including a minimum of 11 years' Medical Device Sales experience
  • Proven record of sales excellence
  • Endovascular and/or operating room experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license
  • Personal automobile with an active vehicle insurance policy
  • Strong presentation, analytical and customer service skills
  • Ability to understand complex medical procedures and engage in in-depth technical conversations with physicians and staff
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy, specifically the vascular and venous systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and iPad navigation
  • Ability to represent Terumo and its products professionally
  • Ability to drive long distances and travel overnight and occasionally on weekends
  • Ability to meet hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including training, background checks and proof of immunization
  • Ability to wear appropriate gowning, stand for long periods, comply with hospital protocols and work around potential blood-borne pathogens
