About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Define the overall solution architecture based on the company’s product strategy and the constraints of the space industry
Identify and structure the components required to deliver the service
Define architectural principles that maximize reuse across missions and customers
Approve the technical, technological, and methodological choices for the selected ground software architecture
Define and support DevSecOps processes throughout the development lifecycle
Prepare and document architectural decisions, their rationale, and trade-offs
Contribute to the technical roadmap and key architectural decisions supporting the evolution toward an industrialized SaaS platform
Work at the interface between the Engineering, Ground Segment, Software, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams
Contribute to defining the technical and product strategy for Thales Alenia Space’s SaaS offering

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master’s degree in software engineering or an equivalent qualification
Initial experience in an Agile environment
Familiarity with Lean Engineering and/or DevSecOps practices
Proven experience with distributed architectures, microservices, and cloud computing, preferably in the aerospace sector
Proficiency in CI/CD practices and cybersecurity analysis tools
Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Java, Python, C, C++, Rust, or Go
Skills in performance, robustness, security, and cybersecurity management
Strong command of design patterns
Experience defining a reusable reference architecture aligned with product policy
Fluent English, both written and spoken
Strong analytical skills, autonomy, initiative, and the ability to make constructive proposals
