About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and enhance applications used to test aviation systems and train future operators
  • Contribute to the reliability of command-and-control systems for air operations and radar systems
  • Learn to use the simulation software suite, comprising several Java HMIs and a C++ server
  • Become familiar with the ASTERIX standard used to exchange information in air surveillance
  • Manage the message editor integrated into the Java HMI
  • Participate in developing new capabilities for the message editor
  • Contribute to ergonomic improvements, including collaboration with UX/UI teams, creating HMI mock-ups, developing the selected solutions, and conducting peer reviews

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s-level degree (equivalent to five years of higher education) in computer science or a related field
  • Seeking a six-month internship
  • Proficient in Java 8 and C++
  • Familiar with tools such as Git, Linux, Bash, and Microsoft Office
  • Interested in the IntelliJ and CLion integrated development environments
  • Interested in Maven and CMake build management tools
  • Curious, independent, rigorous, and proactive
  • The successful candidate will be subject to a security clearance procedure, as the position may require access to information classified as a national defense secret
