About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze requested enhancements and fixes in order to propose a solution, including UI mockups and design
Develop and test the selected solution and, where applicable, update existing tests
Present completed work to users, then publish the development work so peers can review implementation practices and provide feedback
Manage application configuration, including tagging and application builds
Update documentation related to the requested enhancements and fixes
Enhance and expand a Thales internal application based on QF-Test for testing complex systems through their user interfaces
Simplify the authoring of automated test specifications using this framework
Collaborate with experts from the simulation team

Requirements

What you’ll need

You are pursuing a Master’s-level degree in computer science or a related field
You are seeking a six-month internship
You have strong Java development skills
You are familiar with object-oriented programming
You have knowledge of the JUnit testing framework
You are interested in development environments and tools such as Git, JavaFX with IntelliJ IDEA, and SceneBuilder
As the position may involve access to information classified as a national defense secret, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a security clearance process
You are curious, autonomous, and meticulous
