About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Strategically administer, configure, support, and continuously improve the ServiceNow platform
  • Establish a scalable operating model for patching, upgrades, and operational continuity
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ServiceNow-related issues and initiatives
  • Liaise between internal IT teams, stakeholders, and external vendors
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and escalation support to developers and business partners
  • Develop and review complex architectures and technical solutions aligned with enterprise architecture standards
  • Contribute to governance, performance monitoring, integration health, and long-term platform scalability
  • Configure ServiceNow according to business requirements at regularly scheduled intervals
  • Obtain and validate business requirements and transform them into functional requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Assess, estimate, and measure effort for work units and projects
  • Build workflow diagrams and architectural specifications for ServiceNow improvements
  • Identify and mitigate risks involving PII exposure, database performance, and integration degradation or inaccuracies
  • Provide regular and as-needed updates to stakeholders
  • Document operational procedures and work instructions
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and propose solutions
  • Prioritize changing tasks and keep stakeholders informed
  • Act as an escalation point for internal or external customers
  • Coordinate requirements with third parties and manage resources
  • Implement and maintain KPIs for integrations and operational activities
  • Monitor platform KPIs, investigate disruptions or degradations, and implement corrective changes
  • Proactively identify issues that may introduce or exacerbate known issues
  • Schedule and manage ServiceNow upgrades
  • Administer associated domains, including acquiring additional domains and managing existing domains
  • Advise the director and C-level management on architecture choices and investments in $100K+ tools
  • Participate in a 24x7x365 on-call rotation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Scient, Information Technology, or Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ Years System Administration in ServiceNow
  • 2+ years development experience in ServiceNow; preferably in CSM or ITSM modules
  • Development experience with API and Web Services and working with Databases (e.g., Oracle) in an operational or development capacity
  • 5+ years of experience within an IT organization in a product support or development capacity
  • Experience upgrading, cloning, and moving updates sets in a ServiceNow environment
  • Working knowledge of programming languages including but not limited to HTML and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, JSON, AJAX, CSS, XHTML and XML and web service integrations using REST, SOAP, etc.
  • LDAP/Active Directory knowledge
  • Experience building, maintaining, and establishing best practices for customer relationship management solutions and their integrations
  • Experience as a website administration managing domain registration, certification, and related configuration tasks
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations or demonstrations to peers, executives and others to collaborate and obtain feedback
  • Strong business analysis skills with the capacity to listen, take notes, and engage in conversation simultaneously
