About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join the Thales Netherlands IS/IT team as part of the Hosting squad
- Contribute to and ensure alignment of product vision and strategy with the IS/IT department strategy
- Translate business demand into tailored IS/IT solutions for stakeholders
- Collaborate with other squads and departments to optimize results
- Maintain and further develop IT infrastructure
- Perform daily checks, work on incidents, and address ad-hoc requests during operations-focused weeks
- Participate in stand-ups and coordinate ongoing team tasks
- Perform scheduled maintenance outside office hours when required, with flexibility to compensate those hours during the week
- Work across virtualization, data center operations, infrastructure, lifecycle, legacy, storage, and disaster recovery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical bachelor or master degree
- At least 5 years relevant working experience, especially in a dynamic environment
- Experience leading infrastructural projects
- Experience within a complex enterprise IT environment
- Expert knowledge of VMware infrastructure (VMware VCP-DCV or comparable)
- Knowledge of Enterprise storage solutions; NetApp is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux server OS
- Experience creating low-level designs
- Experience developing a business case to support infrastructure projects
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with agile working or openness to adopting new ways of working
- Fluent in English
- Government (AIVD) clearance will be requested
