About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own a meaningful platform area end to end, from customer problem through shipped product and business outcome
Conduct weekly conversations with restaurant operators and marketers
Analyze customer calls, support conversations, usage data, order data, loyalty data, and guest-level data
Convert customer signals into blueprints, prototypes, and shipped products
Write precise specifications for AI agents, review their output, and identify errors
Shape AI-native product experiences and merchant trust in AI
Turn restaurant-brand data into actionable merchant decisions
Contribute to internal product tooling, agent skills, templates, workflows, and guardrails
Collaborate with product, engineering, customer success, sales, marketing, finance, partnerships, and data stakeholders
Help shape how Thanx builds products around AI

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of product management experience
Track record of shipping products that real customers use and pay for
Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Codex, or comparable agentic AI tools
Experience building prototypes, scripts, or workflows with AI tools
Ability to read a schema and write queries
Ability to follow pull requests and discuss engineering tradeoffs
Strong, clear, and precise written communication
Ability to work with a broad mandate and little process
Based in the US or Canada
Nice to have: experience with restaurants, retail, commerce, POS or ordering integrations, loyalty, or marketing technology
Nice to have: experience shipping AI- or ML-powered product features
Nice to have: experience with two-sided products
Nice to have: public writing, talks, or open-source tooling about product work
