About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell the entire Boston Beer Company product portfolio
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts, including bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores, and convenience stores
  • Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop plans to establish business with them
  • Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items
  • Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business grows at accounts
  • Conduct waitstaff and bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions
  • Visit and service retailers and wholesalers through regular market travel
  • Work occasional weekends and holidays as needed
  • Travel occasionally for meetings and trainings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
  • Intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
  • Valid driver's license
  • Registered and insured vehicle
  • Ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
