About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Sell the entire Boston Beer Company product portfolio
  • Focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts
  • Identify major accounts not currently selling BBC products and develop plans to establish business
  • Improve account conditions and merchandising by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point-of-sale items
  • Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business grows at accounts
  • Conduct waitstaff/bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions
  • Travel regularly in the market to service retailers and wholesalers
  • Attend occasional meetings and trainings
  • Periodically work weekends and holidays to support business needs

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
  • Intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
  • Valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
  • Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
  • Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point-of-sale frequently
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ease navigating a complex, fast paced environment: detail oriented, consistent follow-up, accountable
